Information we collect

We may collect information when you submit the Semak Pelan form, contact PelanTakaful, ask about protection options, or use this website.

For the current needs review, applicant or covered-person details may include:

• full name
• phone number
• email address
• date of birth
• gender
• occupation
• smoking status
• state and city
• the type of protection you are interested in
• basic details of another person you ask us to consider for cover

The current public form does not ask for an identity-card or passport number, a detailed medical history, medical declarations, a bank account, or payment-card details.

Technical information may include pages visited, the referrer, UTM campaign parameters, browser or device details where an analytics system provides them, and your cookie-consent preference.

If a new feature later needs additional categories of information, this policy will be updated accordingly.

How information is obtained

Information may come from three places:

• directly from you through website forms or other communication
• from someone submitting information for another person
• automatically through limited website technology such as cookies, attribution parameters and analytics, where consent has been given

If you submit information about another person, you should have appropriate permission to provide it.

How information is used

PelanTakaful may use information to:

• prepare or facilitate quotation follow-up

PelanTakaful does not approve applications, guarantee quotations, or carry out underwriting. Those decisions sit with the relevant official process.

• Afdzal Zullah
• authorised assistants or support personnel helping manage the enquiry
• technology providers needed to operate the website, hosting, email or CRM
• relevant takaful-related parties if you choose to proceed with an enquiry or application
• regulators or authorities where legally required

PelanTakaful does not sell your personal information to advertisers. Information is also not automatically shared with every AIA entity.

Review information and official takaful processes

Information submitted through PelanTakaful is first collected to help us understand your protection needs.

If you later decide to proceed with an official takaful application, further information may need to be supplied through the relevant application or underwriting process. The public Semak Pelan form is not an approval or underwriting system.

PelanTakaful does not intentionally send lead personal information such as name, phone number, email, date of birth or smoking status to website analytics systems.

This includes restricted access, authenticated systems where required, HTTPS in production, protected database access, controlled authorised access, and audit or logging where applicable.

Information is retained only for as long as reasonably required to handle the enquiry, keep necessary business records, meet legitimate operational needs, and fulfil applicable obligations.

You may ask us to stop non-essential marketing communications. Operational replies to an active enquiry may still be needed.

Third-party links

PelanTakaful may link to official AIA websites, AIA PUBLIC Takaful resources, hospitals or providers, and other external references. Those sites have their own privacy practices.

PelanTakaful is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites.

Children and other covered persons

The Semak Pelan form can include other people who may need cover. When you provide information about a child or another individual for the purpose of reviewing protection needs, you should only provide information that you are authorised or reasonably permitted to provide.

Future sensitive health information

The current public Semak Pelan form is designed to collect basic information for an initial protection review and does not request detailed medical declarations. If PelanTakaful introduces functions involving more sensitive health information in future, additional privacy and security controls may apply.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in PelanTakaful features, technology, data-handling processes or related requirements.
